Laura Woodrum Carroll, 90, passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her daughter's home in Virginia Beach, Virginia under the care of Centurion Hospice and surrounded by her loving family.

Laura was born in Statesboro, Georgia the daughter of the late Balty and Sallie Beasley Woodrum. She was a 1945 graduate of Statesboro High School. On April 21, 1952 Laura and Ronald S. Carroll, Sr. were married.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church Garden City and was retired from Union Camp where she worked form 1945 - 1982. Laura enjoyed bowling on various leagues in Savannah and in 1990 she was awarded the Georgia Senior Women's Champion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Carroll, Sr.; two sisters, Bulah Ansley and Birdist Watkins.

Survivors include her children, Rhonda Carroll Swain (Richard N. Swain), Ronald S. Carroll, Jr.; sisters, Bernice Grinde, Vivian Frazee, Sallie Belt, Diane Woodrum; sister-in-law, Daisey DeLoach; grandchildren, Priscilla Coles, Richard & Chelsea Swain, Mathew Swain, Ronald S. Carroll, III., Meagan E. Carroll, Carter M. Carroll, Kathleen L. Carroll; 8 great grandchild, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 12:00 pm - 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 8, 2017 with a
Service beginning at 1:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Speir officiating.

Burial: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery
