Laura (Mulcahy) Todd 68, passed away January 1, 2023. Born April 2, 1954, at NAS hospital Jacksonville Fl. to John and Geraldine Mulcahy. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and was a graduate of St Petersburg Community college with an associate degree in legal aid.
Laura married the love of her life Michael E. Todd on March 8, 1975. The couple had two children, Kristine Marie Todd and Michael Edward Todd. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and daughter. Her genuine smile and laugh could change any atmosphere. Her ability to take charge of any room and show love while doing it remains unmatched. She always gave the best advice and was honest and true her entire life. She had no problem going out of her way to help anyone. Laura was a teacher, caregiver, advisor with wise council, homemaker, cook, dancer, singer, and so much more. She was full of life and always had a sparkle in her eye. Her care and compassion for the loved ones in her life will forever be cherished. Laura will be remembered most for the love that she had for her family and friends. She loved cooking for family, her talent in the kitchen was undeniable (Thanksgiving was her favorite time of the year!)
During her working career she worked as the Chief Legislative aid to FL State representative Ken Sorrenson, where she applied these same characteristics that were cherished by her family. Laura was a Roman Catholic who loved to take part in fishing tournaments, where she helped raise money for many charities. She moved with so much charisma and grace throughout her lifetime. She was also a member of the NRA, and various political Republican associations. She was a True Blue Republican who loved her country like no other.
Laura was preceded in death by her mother Geraldine Joan (Holmes) Mulcahy, Father John Edward Mulcahy, brother Sean M Mulcahy, and her son Michael Edward Todd. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Michael Edward Todd of Allenhurst GA, sister Kathleen Mulcahy of Deltona Fl, daughter Kristine Marie Todd (Chris Hanson) of Key Largo Fl, stepdaughter Tracy (Todd) Barnes and son in-law Brian Barnes of Fleming, Ga. Grandchildren are Haley (Red) Hanson, Taylor Todd, Brianna (Benie) Barnes, Jo-Ell Barnes, along with her great granddaughters Callie and Camilla.
