Lacy A. Manigault, Jr., 85, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021.
Mr. Manigault was born on May 19, 1935 in Greeleyville, SC, the son of the late Lacey W. and Claudius Herring Manigault. He was a veteran of the United States Army and following his military tenure attended vocational school where he studied typing. He worked in the financial industry for many years, retiring in management. He was a devoted member of St. George’s Episcopal Church where he served as a Lay Minister, was a vestry member, and was involved with the Men’s Club. He was very active within the community as a member of the Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission and was the former Chairman of the Jazz Association.
Mr. Manigault was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Adam Manigault and daughter, Lisa Manigault. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kim Manigault; son, Gary Alan Manigault; daughter, Kim Charlene Hoeldtke (Nathan); brother, Carol Manigault; sister, Carolyn Manigault; and grandchildren, Miles, Marley, Zacharias, Ezekiel, and Malachi.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
