Kurtis was born November 27, 1968 in Litchfield, IL to Ellen Ann Scott Spencer and Avery Wayne Spencer. Kurtis worked as a server at Sundae Café on Tybee Island.
Survivors include his parents Wayne and Ellen Spencer of Taylorville, IL; partner Mark Newell of Savannah, GA; sister Kathy Elizabeth Spencer of Nokomis, IL; sister Ronda Spencer and her partner Don Patterson of Casey, IL; Niece Jessica (Jessz) Spencer of Casey, IL; Nephew Christopher (Chris) Spencer of Charleston, IL; Nephew Quentin Patterson of Rapid City, SD.
Private memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 15 on Tybee Island at 6:00 pm and again on Saturday, May 22 at the Asbury Cemetery in Raymond, IL.
The family requests that memorials be made to Hospice Savannah http://www.hospicesavannah.org/
