Kirby Ray Linder, age 82 of Port Wentworth, Georgia (formerly of Arcanum, Ohio) went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
Kirby was born on November 11, 1941 in Darke County, Ohio to the late Raymond H. Linder and Lena Wyan Linder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dixie Skiles and his Father and Mother in law, Carl and Bernice Vore.
Survivors include his wife, of 42 years, Susan Vore Linder, daughter and son in law, Jenna and Jairus Bonner, grandson Miles Ray Bonner (Pooler, GA) and many nieces and nephews.
Kirby was a retired truck driver and loved being outdoors; farming, gardening, mowing grass, riding bikes with his daughter and riding his motorcycle with friends. He loved cars and trucks and going to car shows. He was a great caretaker of the many family pets and he enjoyed going to The Great Darke County Fair and helping his daughter with her show rabbits and 4-H Club.
Most of all Kirby was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
He was a member of Pleasant View Missionary Church, Greenville, Ohio.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 1:00pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.)
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
