Kerry M. Helmey, 60, of Savannah, died Thursday, June 30th, 2016.
He was born in Savannah on May 10, 1956, the son of Robert Helmey and the late Angelyn Dent Helmey.
Kerry was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. He loved the game of tennis and was employed as a tennis instructor for the city of Savannah. He attended the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Robert and Maxine Helmey of Savannah; two sisters; Kim Birge (Larry) of Savannah and Kristi F. Helmey of Savannah; brother, Kelly Helmey of Savannah; nephew, Jason Birge.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5th 2016 from 1:00pm until 2:00 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 5th, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Baker-McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert, with burial to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
