He lived his short life to the fullest. If there’s a motto that would fit you perfectly it would be “I’m here for a good time, not a long time.” I love and miss my lost sheep. Until we meet again.

Kenshawn Gavin King, Jr. (Fatman), age 24, of Savannah, passed away on October 8, 2024.
Mr. King was born on January 9, 2000, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Kenshawn Gavin King, Sr., and Naketa Carter Hutcherson. As the son of a military family, Fatman spent his childhood living in various places, including Virginia and Colorado, before settling in Georgia, where he graduated from Windsor Forest High School in 2018 and attended obtained his barber license from the International Barber School.
Fatman had a passion for creativity and intellect. Teaching himself to play the guitar, often filling the room with music that reflected his soulful spirit. A talented artist, Fatman expressed himself beautifully through drawing and painting, capturing the world around him in ways that inspired others. He was also a chess enthusiast, mastering strategies and using the game to challenge himself and connect with others.
A lifelong learner, Fatman amazed everyone with his self-taught ability to speak multiple languages to include French, Spanish, and Russian. His curiosity for the world and its cultures was a hallmark of his remarkable character.
He cherished moments spent with his family and close friends and was known for his infectious smile and kind heart.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Barry Tinson Jr and his sisters Leah Perry and Keyshawn (Minne) King.
Survivors include his father Kenshawn Gavin King Sr., of New Orleans; his mother, Naketa Carter Hutcherson, and stepfather, John Hutcherson Sr.; four brothers, Kamryn, Kenny, Kahle King and John Hutcherson II; three sisters, Kimora Philpot, Kayla Hutcherson, and Kate’lynn King; his paternal grandmother, Rhonda King, of New Orleans; maternal grandparents, Vanessa Shannon and Ronald Williams, of Savannah; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends who deeply miss him.
