Kenneth E. Farrell, age 88, of Savannah passed away Friday, January 21, 2022.
Mr. Farrell was born on New Year’s Day, 1934 in Pomfret, CT, the son of the late Lillian Dowd and John James Farrell, Sr. He worked as a Highway Construction Engineer with the State of Connecticut and also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Williamsville Fire Department. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, was active with the Montgomery Athletic Association, was a former member of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Mr. Farrell was preceded in death by his brother, John James Farrell, Jr.; and nephews, John James Farrell, III and Michael Chase Farrell. He is survived by his niece, Maureen Eason (Robert); great nephew, Robert Emmett Eugene Eason; nephew, Patrick Kelly Farrell (Sherry); great nephews, John Patrick Farrell and Timothy Chase Farrell; nephew, Timothy Douglas Farrell (Jessica); great nieces, Morgan Chase Farrell, Lauren Kristen Farrell, and Carson Leigh Farrell; and granddaughters-in-love, Emily Morris and Shavatica Morris.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2022 at Bonaventure Cemetery under the direction of Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice Savannah or the Montgomery Athletic Association.
