Kenneth Newton Bethune, 92, of Rincon, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at his home under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.
A native of Waycross, he was the son of the late John Newton Bethune and the late Rachel Irene Henderson Bethune.
Kenneth was US Air Force Veteran and later retired from the US Naval Reserves after 20 years of service. He was retired from International Paper Company as a Pipe fitter after 52 years and was a member of First Baptist Church of Garden City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Freddie Louise Haskins Bethune.
Survivors include his children, Barry, Larry and Patricia, sister, Naomi Wilcoxen, brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Patti Bethune, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, including Autumn Grier, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Kenneth's caregiver, Kim Wilcox and her dog that he loved dearly, Ginger for all of the care, compassion, love and support that they gave.
