Katina Zervis Merritt

September 17, 1925 to August 1, 2017.  Beloved grandmother, great grandmother, sister and mother.  She will be missed by her family and countless friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents George and Martha Zervis, son Thomas George Merritt and husband Thomas Alvey Merritt.  Survived by her brother Jimmy Zervis, grandson George Anthony Merritt, granddaughters Juliet Story and Catherine Kessler, three great grandsons Trey Story, Kadin Story and Harrison Story and great granddaughter Charlotte Kessler.  She was a Savannah native but spent her life sailing the world as the sea was her true love and passion.  Trisagion Service will be at 7 p.m. on Friday August 4, 2017 at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church and funeral services at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 5, 2017 with internment to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be her family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent to St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, 14 West Anderson Street Savannah, GA 31401.
