Kathleen “Kathy” Giambertone Lupica Rapach, 70, peacefully passed away at Memorial Health University Medical Center on April 24, 2021 in the loving arms of her husband of 34 years, Bob.
Kathy was born on October 19, 1950 in Queens, New York and moved to Savannah, GA in 1972. She started her nursing career at St Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah after graduating from Armstrong State College.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Martin, her mother and father-in-law Mary and Joseph Rapach and her mother and father-in-law Adele and Thomas Lupica. She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Rapach, her favorite daughter Melissa (Ricky) Stille and those 3 boys Paul, Michael, and Phillip Lupica; her grandchildren whom she adored: Emily (Gabe) Barber, John Lupica, Trace and Lauren McBride, and Lenox Lupica; her best ex-husband Paul C. Lupica; many loving nieces and nephews; and other close family members.
Kathy had so many things in life that she loved and was passionate about. Family was first on her list, immediately followed by her love of nursing and helping others.
Visitation will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel on Saturday, May 1 from 4-6pm and the memorial service on Sunday, May 2 at 1pm in the funeral home chapel with Father Joe Smith officiating.
