Katherine "Kathy" Butler

Katherine “Kathy” Butler, age 55, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center.
Mrs. Butler was born on January 19, 1967 in Rockledge, FL. She was a graduate of Kiona-Benton High School in Washington State and continued her formal education at Columbia Basin College where she earned her degree in nursing. She practiced as a Registered Nurse at Athens Regional Hospital for many years. Before recently practicing at Memorial Medical Center she had practiced at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Kathy was raised Catholic and had been attending Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved the beach, reading, and traveling.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by her father, Victor Roger Sarte and brother, Victor Raymond Sarte. She is survived by her loving husband of 4 years, Steven Butler; children, Kirsten Caudill, Alex Caudill, Jerica Caudill, Jessica Lopez, and Jason Goelz; mother, June Laverne Sarte; and grandchildren, Jace, Danny, Aly, Airon, and Andrew.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1707 Bull Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to any foundation with focus on Pancreatic Cancer Research.
