Karen Kay Kniphfer Anaya, 56, of Eden passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Savannah, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Albert Edward "Ed" Kniphfer and the late Freida Mae Bryant Kniphfer.
She was a member of Meldrim Baptist Church but most recently attended Bethel Baptist Church and Morning Star Community Church. Kay was an avid gardener and could make anything grow. She was a very kind and loving soul that loved to help anyone and everyone, she loved her family and friends fiercely and absolutely adored her grand babies. She was very involved in all her children and grandchildren’s activities and was their biggest fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose "Joe" Anaya, parents, sister, Jenny Kniphfer and her brother-in-law, Frank "Stevie" Chapman.
Survivors include her children, Rachel Anaya-Jones (Derek), Michele Johnson (Jonathan), Amanda Doney (Chris), Albert Anaya, Jose Anaya, Jr. (Andrea), her partner, Michael "Mike" Cribb, siblings, Krenson K. Kniphfer (Patti), Donald Kniphfer, Eddie Kniphfer (Elaine), K. Waring Kniphfer (Melissa), Gloria Chapman, Deborah Witt (Joe), Teresa Kniphfer, Connie Jiran (Pat), grandchildren, Ravyn Jones, Gavyn Jones, Kaydin Jones, Jose "LJ" Jones, Romyn Jones, Olivia Johnson, MaKinley Johnson, Gunnar Doney, Madison Doney, Griffin Doney, Aidan Anaya, Paisley Anaya, Camdan Anaya, Zayden Anaya, Connor Anaya, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
