Justin Paul Smith

Justin Paul Smith, 35, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on August 3, 2023. at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
He was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia and graduated from South Effingham High School, where he was a member of the ROTC.
After high school, he went on to work in the electrical business. He was currently employed by Braddy Electric, where he was a hard worker and enjoyed his job.
God gifted Justin with a gentle soul and a generous heart. He was quite shy and it could easily take him six months to muster up the courage to have a conversation with someone. But once he opened up, you would discover the beautiful qualities that made him such a loveable person. The thing Justin cherished most in his life was his family, especially his maternal grandmother. We all referred to him as a big old teddy bear.
He is survived by his father, Marvin Eugene Smith, Jr. ; brother, Jason James Smith; nephew, Alexander Smith; aunts, Patricia Counts, and Patty Parrish Denny; grandmother, Vera Daly; uncles, David and Robert Daly; aunts, Susan Daye, Joyce Daly, Nancy Daly, Jenny Lane (Clark), of Savannah, Georgia; several cousins and other family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Daly Smith; grandmother, Shelby Smith; grandfather, Michael Francis Daly; aunt, Brenda "Red" Long.
Justin's death came way too soon but this allowed him to be an organ donor. His legacy will live on through the countless lives that will be touched by this selfless gift. We thank God for giving Justin to us and now we sadly give him back to God. For his purpose in this life is now complete.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia.
A rosary will be held in the funeral homes Hodgson Memorial Chapel at the end of the visitation.
