Azalea Avenue was a safe harbor and home to many. June Todd Edwards, age 91, died peacefully on November 3, 2015 at her home on Azalea Avenue in Garden City, surrounded by her loved ones.
June was born March 11, 1924. She was the owner and operator of Pop's Lounge in Garden City on Highway 21.
June is survived by her sister, Jean and her daughters Elizabeth "Bibis" Swailes and Tiffany Todd Ojeda and her son Thomas Todd Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives and close friends. Throughout her 91 years,
June has cared for, protected, and mothered so many. She was our rock and our refuge and will never be forgotten.Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the Fairhaven Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015 in the Chapel of the Fairhaven Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
