June Sapp Hendrix, age 70, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at home in the arms of her loving daughter and surrounded by family.
Mrs. Hendrix was born on November 22, 1950 in Savannah, the daughter of the late Melvin “Pete” Sapp and Mary Lee Sapp. She was a 1969 graduate of Herschel V. Jenkins High School and continued her formal education at Savannah Technical College, earning a degree in Computer Technology. She worked for over 25 years with Solomons Company and continued working for over 10 years with Village Walk Pharmacy until retiring. June was a fun loving wife, mom, Nana, and friend. She loved working in the yard and helping others in the community. You could always find her soaking up the sun on the dock or at Chris and Jenny's by the pool with her family and close friends. She was a lover of the Lord who frequently talked about how amazing Jesus was and all the wonderful things he brought to her life. To know her, was to love her. Her smile and laugh were contagious. The bond she shared with her grandson Colby, was like no other. She will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and Montgomery community.
Mrs. Hendrix is survived by her daughter, Jenny Hendrix Fryer (Christopher B. Fryer); husband, Darrell Hendrix; brother, Alan Sapp (Coy); grandchildren, Colby B. Fryer and Nolan C. Fryer; and several nieces and nephews.
