Judith Ann Capistrant (Howes), of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts and was a mother of five; three daughters and two sons.
Judy often shared fond memories of growing up on the family farm in New England. She enjoyed reading mysteries, completing crossword puzzles, playing cards, and was an avid bird enthusiast. She was also proud to be a Mensa member and dearly loved using her wealth of knowledge to teach her grandchildren and great-grandchildren about many favorite topics.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, John Howes II and mother, Ruth Howes (Bleakley), by her brother, John Howes III and sister, Ruth Martinelli. She was also preceded in death by her son, Scott Sicard and granddaughter, Jennifer Pettit.
She is survived by her sister, Susan Sheakley (Hal), and her remaining children, Ronna Vining (Kahle), Michael Van Valkenburg (Donna), Deirdre Impastato (Eric), and Kerry Kramer (Ken); 11 grandchildren, Thomas Pettit (Kayla), Julian Van Valkenburg, Andrew Van Valkenburg, Patrick Van Valkenburg, Nicholas Van Valkenburg, Kevin Coursey (Nicki), Kenneth Randall Kramer Jr (Megan), Ashley Aeger (Joey), Kristin Carter (Chris), Kristopher Ryan Kramer (Christina), and Tiffany Sicard, as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Judy’s life is being planned for a future date and will be announced for family and friends to attend.
