Joyce Howard Lindsey

Joyce Lee Howard Lindsey, 83, passed on to heaven on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at 9:15 pm. Joyce is one of six children born to Lillian Gainey and Cicero Howard. She was born on November 18, 1933 in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Joyce has resided in Bloomingdale, Georgia with her husband, Claxton Lindsey, for the past four decades. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed singing along to her favorite tunes. Joyce also enjoyed gardening and was known to have an uncanny "green thumb". Her other hobbies included crossword puzzles, coloring, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Claxton Lindsay, and her children (& spouses) Joe and Sue Hale, Betty Sue and Dennis Brower, and Karen Lane Lindsey and James Jones. She is also survived by her grandchildren James Claxton Jones, Lindsay Jones, James Hale, Deborah Napier, and Tracy Mulligan. In addition, Joyce is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and countless friends and family.

Joyce, we love you dearly and we miss you. Till we meet again....

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
