Joshua Robert Bodaford, age 35, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Born January 27, 1987, in Savannah, Georgia, Josh was a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill where he attended school. He also attended Calvary Baptist Day School and Savannah Technical College.
Former employers include International Paper, Brady Electric at Savannah Sugar Refinery, and Caesarstone.
Josh served briefly as a volunteer firefighter. He was a member of Coastal Community Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing his guitar. He claimed to like to cook but mostly he liked to eat good Southern cooking. He was born into the right family, Josh was a devoted daddy to his little girl. He could braid hair, paint nails, and throw a tea party like no other.
Left to cherish wonderful memories of Josh include the joy of his life, daughter Alaina Alvarez-Bodaford; devoted parents, Bobby and Laura Lee (Bodaford) Rahn; his anchor, Nana, Sharon H. Bodaford; heartbroken sisters, Karson, Jenny, and Robin; beloved uncles, Ricky (Rosemary), Robbie (Ann); cousins who were more like brothers and sisters, Richard III (Bettany), Michael (Trudy), Kevin (Lauren), Taylor Bodaford Moore (Cody) and their families; nephews, Corbin and Camden; niece, Madalyn; and former wife and mother of his daughter, Ashley Alvarez.
Those who passed before him include Papa Richard Bodaford; Grandma Tootsie; Grandpa Walter Bodaford; Grandma and Grandpa Hart; Uncle Russ; and Aunt Linda Koontz.
The family will be receiving friends Tuesday, November 8, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Snavely with Coastal Community Christian Church officiating.
Interment will follow at Elkins Cemetery, 2539 Fort Argyle Road, Bloomingdale, Georgia 31302.
