Joseph T. Francati Jr.,97, of Savannah, Georgia passed away Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 at Habersham House under the care of St. Lukes Hospice.
A native of Rochester, New York, he was the son of Joseph T. Francati and Nellie Mazza Francati. Mr. Francati was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from the U of R and earned his post graduate degree from Syracuse University. He was a social worker for the State of New York Department of Mental Health, and attended St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Marie Gratton and Rita Francati.
Survivors include his brother, John C. Francati, wife, Frances, his nephews, John M. Francati, wife, Maxine and their children, Jessica Francati and Jordyn Francati, George J. Gratton, wife, Irene, their children, Jason Gratton and Richard Gratton, his cousin, Ann Ivanuska and a number of other relatives and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be will be held Friday, April 28, 2017 at 11 am at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Savannah, Georgia.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, Friday, May 5, 2017 at Falvo Funeral Home, 1395 Goodman Street, Rochester, New York.
