Mr. Joseph Fred Pritchard Sr., age 87, of Savannah, died Saturday, January 25, 2025, at his residence after an extended illness, under the loving care of his daughter, and surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on November 7, 1937 in Swainsboro to John Harley Pritchard Sr. and Susie Alice Truett Pritchard. Joseph lived in Savannah most of his life and attended Commercial High School in Savannah. He served in the National Guard and later worked as a regional sales representative for the northeast region for Great Dane for many years. Joseph was a member of Cobra Club and his daughter was his pride and joy. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, loved being outdoors and cutting grass. Joseph was very hardworking, a jokester, never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jane Hall Pritchard; his parents; and siblings, Lawrence Pritchard, Roger Pritchard, John Harley Pritchard Jr., Ruth Barnard, Helen Newman and Barbara Sartor.
His family includes his children, Joseph Fred Pritchard Jr. and Stacey D. Pritchard of Savannah; three grandchildren, Brittany Tyler, Briana Harrison, and Christopher Pritchard; four great-grandchildren, Broden and Bracken Tyler, and Kegan and Grayson Pritchard; and several, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.) beginning at 2:00 until just prior to the service. A celebration of life service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
