Joseph "Joe" M. McGrath, 68, of Port Wentworth, GA died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family and friends and under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.
A native of Savannah Joe was the son of the late Robert O'Keefe McGrath and the late Willia "Bunch" Bernice Mason McGrath.
Joe was a US Air Force veteran during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and had worked many years at Georgia Regional Hospital as a Maintenance Man.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Bonnie Thompson McGrath.
Survivors include his siblings, Cheryl Matlock (Charles) of Tybee Island, GA, Thomas O'Keefe McGrath (Mary) of Cherry Log, GA, Julia Sullivan (Richard) of Pembroke, GA, step-sons, Jerry Gandy, Richard "Ricky" Dean Statham (Shirley), Dennis Adam Statham, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
