Mr. Joseph L. Ciliberto, age 84, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Mr. Ciliberto was born on June 29, 1939, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late Joseph Ciliberto, Sr., and the late Rose Terebetski Ciliberto and received his education in New Jersey. After serving six years in the Navy aboard the USS Camp, a destroyer escort, he moved to Atlanta, then onto Savannah, which he called home. In Savannah he joined the Georgia Air National Guard and retired after twenty-eight years as an esteemed Chief Master Sergeant. He was a founding member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was currently an active member of White Bluff Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Janice Stone Ciliberto and wife, Betzaida (Betsy) Ciliberto. Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Haas Ciliberto; and his four daughters: Shari Butler, Robin Patz (Ann Patz), Christine (Robert Meade), and Deborah Nash. He is also survived by his brother, Vincent Ciliberto (Joanna). He was also the proud grandfather of nine and great grandfather of six. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 315 Greenwich Road, Savannah, GA 31404.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any donations be made to Hospice Savannah, The Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of their choice.
