Joseph Allen

Joseph Allen affectionately known as "Joe" was one of eight children born to the late Thomas (Sadler) Allen and Jane Allen on December, 15, 1931. Joseph was born in the island of Montserrat in the West Indies. In 1955 Joseph migrated to England were he lived for 9 years. In 1964 Joseph decided to migrate to America, where he began his career as a school custodian at Morris High School in the Bronx, New York. Joseph was a dedicated hard worker for the Board of Education for 22 years. Joseph was not only a hard worker but a proud father to a loving daughter April Allen. Joseph retired in 1997. Joseph took advantage of his retirement and relaxed and enjoyed life in New York until he moved to Georgia in 2005 were he married his beloved wife Yvonne Allen. They both continued to enjoy their retirement until his passing on July 12,2018. Joseph will be missed by everyone that knew him. Joseph is survived by his loving wife Yvonne Allen, his daughter April Allen, his brother James Allen, Donald Daley, sister Lucinda Woods, and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Victory Baptist Church from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday July 21, 2018. The Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at Victory Baptist Church. The interment will be held at Hillcrest Abbey West following the Funeral Service.
