Lance Hill

February 29, 1972 — August 21, 2024

Jonothon Lance Hill , 52 , passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024

Lance Hill, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love, music, and joy. Born in Hahira, Georgia, Lance moved to Savannah as a child, where he found his true home and built a life full of vibrant connections and memorable moments.

The son of Cheri Acree and stepson of Marshall Acree, Lance contributed his charm and enthusiasm to the service industry in downtown Savannah. Known as the life of the party and a friend to all, Lance's warm spirit and infectious enthusiasm touched everyone he met.

A musically gifted individual, Lance’s greatest passion was making music. Whether playing the guitar or any other instrument, he found joy in sharing his talent with friends and family, often gathering with Sean, his sister Tess, and others for impromptu jam sessions.

Lance's pride and joy were his two daughters, Ragan and Camryn Hill. He devoted countless hours to nurturing their love for music, singing and playing guitar for them from the time they were in their mother's belly until the very end. As a father, he was a best friend and a constant source of encouragement, providing them with unconditional love and support.

He is survived by his daughters, Ragan Hill and Camryn Hill; his mother, Cheri Acree; his stepfather, E. Marshall Acree; and his sister, Tess Hill Scheer, his other family, The Fitzgibbon’s, all of Savannah, GA. Lance will be remembered for his boundless energy, his deep love for his daughters, and his unwavering dedication to his music.

A celebration of Lance’s life will be held Sunday September 15th from 2:00 - 6:00 at Ordinary Pub 217 1/2 W Broughton Street 31401
