John P. Petuya, II,33, of Guyton, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 27th, 2016 at Effingham County Hospital .
A native of Wilmington, Delaware, he was the son of the late Steven Shelton and Jean Ann Shelton-Wade. John was a veteran of the US Army; he served 2 deployments in Iraq. He worked with Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation as an Aeronautics Technician Sr.
John enjoyed cars, Harley Davidson's, music, video games and Anime. He was great husband, father and friend.
He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Shelton and a daughter, Bailey Lynn Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Petuya; children, MacKenzie Huiss, Zoey, Cole, Savannah, Emma Lou, Miles "Bubba" Jackson and Braelynn Ann Petuya; his mother, Jean Ann Shelton-Wade; sisters, Jonnie Petuya, Rachel Shelton; grandmother, Anna Shelton; several cousins , other family and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel on Sunday, October 30th, 2016.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 31st, 2016, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Chapel of the Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel, with burial to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Georgia.
