John "Johnny" Burke

John Calvin Burke, 67, of Springfield, Georgia, died December 19, 2016 at his home as a result of natural causes.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Redd Burke, and father, John Lee Burke, and two siblings, Jimmy Burke and Joyce Ann Alderman.
He is survived by two children and their families; John Tyler Burke, wife Julie Havens, and son Samuel, and Amy Lee Ihrig, her husband Sean Ihrig, and their son Nolan. He is also survived by brothers Jackie Burke (Linda), Joseph Burke, Jerry Burke (Beth), and Julian Burke, and sisters Jan Riggs (Dean), Judy Burke, Brandy King, and Christina Burke.
He served in the Army in his youth and faithfully volunteered for veterans' organizations later in life. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Garden City, Georgia where a memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
