Mr. John Edward Hall of Black Creek, GA passed away Tuesday, January 23rd 2018, at his home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice, surrounded by family and loved ones after battling a long illness. He was born in Savannah GA and grew up in Bloomingdale GA where he lived before moving to Black Creek 25 years ago. He was born September 12th, 1948 to Mr. and Mrs. Glenn E. Hall. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served two tours. He retired from International Paper of Savannah GA, where he committed 36 years of hard work. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping, wood working, and spending time at his mountain home in Maggie Valley, NC and finding things for Michael to do.
He was preceded in death by parents Mr. Glenn E. Hall and Lorene McCullough Hall, his son Corporal Richard Allen Hall, two sisters Rita Nasworthy and Margaret Churchill and two brothers William H. Hall and James Hall..
Survivors include his wife of 32 years Clisty Hall of Black Creek; sister Barbara (Cecil) Aldrich of Pooler; daughter Jennifer (Michael) Hall-Roberson of Black Creek; son Steven Wayne Hall of Black Creek; three grandchildren Tyler Hall of Rincon, John David and Madison Roberson of Black Creek; several nieces, nephews, and extended family..
The family will receive friends and family Thursday January 25th, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory Garden City Chapel located at 2794 US HWY 80 West Garden City GA.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 26th, 2018 at 11:00 am at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel located at 2794 US HWY 80 West Garden City GA, where Pastor Gene Fail will be officiating, burial to follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bloomingdale, Georgia .
