John Robert Conner

Mr. John Robert Conner died peacefully on April 10, 2024, in Statesboro, GA at the age of 73.

John is survived by his son Gregory Conner; daughter, Susan Williams (Brad Williams); grandchildren, Conner and Davis Williams; sister, Judy Landis; niece, Janelle Lamperti (Alex); and a nephew Bradley Landis (Christy).

He is preceded in death by his parents Carl “Sammy” Ramon, and Geraldine “Gerry” Conner; and Roy Glisson (stepfather).

John was born on June 26, 1950, in Savannah, GA to Carl “Sammy” Ramon, and Geraldine “Gerry” Conner. He graduated from Savannah High School in 1968, and later in life from Savannah State University with a degree in accounting. In the 1980’s John started his company Audio Visual Resources where he worked until 1998. John then went to work for Candler Hospital in the Finance department until his retirement in 2021.

His children remember him as a kind and loving father who always encouraged them to pursue their goals.

John was passionate about golf and often spent many days on the course with his son Greg.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and The Gardens Senior Living Center for the wonderful care they provided John these last few months of his life.

The family will be receiving friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, April 15, 2024 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.

Interment will follow at Greenwich Cemetery, 330 Greenwich Road, Savannah, Georgia 31404
