John Bryant "Johnny" Woods, age 70, of Bloomingdale passed away Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at his residence under the care of Hospice Savannah.
A native of Savannah, Georgia , he was the son of Paul Fred Woods, Sr. and Margaret Odum Woods. He was a police officer for 23 years with the Beaufort Police Department, Chatham County and Pooler Police Departments. He was the owner of Crystal Wrecker Service for 13 years and most recently worked for Outlaw Transport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Ouida Ellis and Carolyn Monson,
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Patricia Burnsed of Bloomingdale, his son, John B. Woods, Jr. (Joy) of Brunswick, his daughter, Myleah Woods Sanders (Corey) of Opelika, AL, his step-son, Gene Pritchard (Haley) of Hinesville, his brother, Freddy Woods (Patsy) of Savannah, his grandchildren, Megan Williams (Brandon), Kass Sanders, Gracie, Madeline, Rylie, Keeley, his great grandchildren, Emileigh Williams, Bentlee Williams and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 5, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 at 11:00 am in Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
