Joel Murray Snyder, Jr., 78, of Savannah, died Friday, March 24, at Hospice Savannah.
Murray was born in Savannah and graduated from Carlisle Military School. He served four years in the U. S. Air Force and had an aviation career of 60 years, beginning with crop dusters and ending with Gulfstream's. He cherished every day of his world travels and all the many friends he met along the way. He never met a stranger. He was a Mason, Roger Lacy Lodge # 722 and later, a devout member of the Alee Shrine Directors Staff for many years. He was a member and Past President of the QB's, another cherished time for him and his friends. He spent many hours with his friends telling war stories.
Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Carter Joyner (Tim); sons, Joel Murray Snyder, III "Trey" and Gill Austin Snyder of Dallas, TX; two grandchildren, Zachary Carter of Dallas, TX and Austin Dunn of Savannah.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah.
A Funeral will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 1, in the chapel of Baker McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
