Joel Bernier Paskauskas, Sr., age 79, of Savannah passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021.
Mr. Paskauskas was born on August 3, 1942 in Fitchburg, MA, the son of the late Stanley Prescott and Beryl Bernier Paskauskas. He attended Pratt Institute in New York and later began working in sales and service with Cunningham Coffee. He began his career in design working with Prescott Interiors where he served as Principal Designer. He later worked as an interior designer with Walls and All until becoming an Independent Design Consultant. He was a longtime member of The Sycamore Church and had been attending The FIG – Forward in Grace in Rincon, GA. He enjoyed opera and classical music, gardening, bird watching, and was a creative “tinkerer” in many areas.
Mr. Paskauskas is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marilyn Ruth Paskauskas; son, Joel B. Paskauskas, II (Julie Helmly Paskauskas); daughters, Judith Brennan Maple and Jane Elizabeth Barnes (Kevin); stepson, Frank L. Simpson; and grandchildren, Andrew, Joel, Josh, Sarah, Jackson, Francesca, Lauren, Robyn, Griffin, James, Carter, Candace, and Rhyan.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
