Joe Glenn Braddy

April 2, 1952 — December 25, 2020

Joe Glenn Braddy was called to heaven on Christmas Day. He died, peacefully, at home following a festive Christmas Eve dinner with family and friends. Glenn, as most knew him, was born on April 2nd, 1952, in Savannah, Georgia. He attended H.V. Jenkins High School (Class of 1970) where he was the starting nose guard for the Warrior’s football team. Glenn was very involved with planning reunions for his alma mater and proudly celebrated his 50th high school reunion in November 2020. His love of sports didn’t stop with football. Glenn was an outfielder for Thompson’s Sporting Goods softball team during the 1980s. The team traveled all over the country and won the ASA world championship in 1985, landing them on the first ever cover of Savannah Magazine in 1990.

Glenn was the President of Braddy Electric Company and Co-Owner of Braddy Enterprises. Many of the 150+ employees considered Glenn a friend, more than a boss. He loved history, spending time with friends and family, and recently found a love for golf. He enjoyed spending the weekends on the links with his sons. Most of all, Glenn loved watching the Georgia Bulldogs football team. During football season, you could find him sitting on his couch cheering on the Dawgs.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents Thelma Ree (nee Anderson) and Joe Braddy. Also preceding him was his four legged best friend, Buster Brown. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Suzanne (nee Smith), brother Thomas Gerald (Pam), sons Joshua and Gabriel, daughter Abigail McCuen (Edwin Jr.), granddaughters and apples of his eyes, Piper and Alice, and a host of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family invites you to a viewing on Wednesday, December 30th, 2020, from 5:00-7:00 PM, with a funeral service on Thursday, December 31st at 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by using the following link.
