Joan Florence Ann Grassi, 85, of Savannah, GA passed away Friday January 4, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was retired from BELLSOUTH Telephone Company in Customer Service with over 30 years of Service. Joan enjoyed the beach, swimming, walking, and tennis. She loved her whole family and was always looking to help anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Florence Maloney; husband of 28 years Chester Grassi; sister Maureen and brother Dennis.
Joan is survived by a son, Daniel Grassi (Tracey) of Bloomingdale; two daughters, Michelle Earley of Pooler and Lisa Hurt (Terry) of Bloomingdale; grandchildren Daniel Grassi Jr. (Lisa), Nick Grassi (Lauren), Chelsea G. Maner (Chris), Alex Whittaker (Mark), Chandler Grassi, Vincent Grassi, Brooke N. Hurt, Bailey J. Hurt, Derek Adams (Jennifer), and Madison Earley; great grandchildren Allie, Rily, Daniel, Zack, Cason, Chance, Trace, Cami, and Christian.
There will be a visitation from 11 am to 1 pm on Wednesday with a Funeral service at 1 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home ( Hubert C Baker Chapel) of Savannah. The Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
