Jimmy McClary, 74, of Pooler, GA passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Kingstree, South Carolina, he was the son of Frank McClary and Maggie Epps McClary.
Mr. McClary lived most of his life in Sumter, SC where he met and married Lillian Corbett in 1984.
His love of landscaping and flowers led him to pursue a rewarding career with USC - Sumter, as a landscaper, for many years before his retirement. Following his retirement in 2015, Mr. and Mrs. McClary moved to Pooler, GA.
In his spare time, Mr. McClary enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, spending time on the beach, and cooking delicious meals for his wife. He was a community-oriented man who was always willing to lend a helping hand where needed. He was also an avid football fan. Above all, Mr. McClary was a faithful Jehovah's Witness who loved to share bible truths with anyone he came into contact with.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his half-sister.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Corbett McClary; daughters, April (Travis) Henry, Brittney (Tyrone) McMillan and Monique McClary; grandchildren, Jayden and Jayleah McClary, Qwanell, Qwanise and Qwaniya McMillan, and Noah Henry; siblings, Frank McClary, and Laura Ann McClary; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 3:30pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness 4869 Old Louisville Road, Garden City, GA 31408.
