Jimmy Lee Cannon, 79, of Sylvania passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Kindred Hospice of Savannah.
A native of Savannah, he was the son of the late Dewey Lee Cannon and the late Addie Mae Carter Cannon.
Jimmy was a Christian man; the owner/operator of Cannon’s Roofing and Cannon’s Construction. He was a member of the Local 709 Iron Workers Union. He loved his family, hunting, fishing, the outdoors, and spent countless years playing, coaching, and sponsoring several local and traveling softball teams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, David and George, grandsons, Perry Kellum Cannon and Justin Calloway Zabawa.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Pamela Smiley Cannon, children, Lou Johnson, Debra Brune (Kenny), James Cannon (Kim), Jessica Puckett (John), Jimmy Allen "Bo" Cannon, Craig "Boo" Phillips, Jr. (Shannon), Rusty Phillips, Anna Cannon, Aurora Cannon, Christina Cannon, 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Minter officiating.
Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Cannon, Cody Brune, Mikel Burnsed, Howard Zabawa III, James Zabawa, Craig "Boo" Phillips Jr., Rusty Phillips and Allen Hallman.
