Jewell Monfort Hobbs, 95 ½ (that half was very important to her), of Savannah passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family December 13, 2019 at Hospice Savannah.
She was born to the late Hugh A. and Stella G. Monfort in Alamo, GA on May 14, 1924.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and GiGi, as she was affectionately known to her great-grandchildren. Her family brought her the greatest joy and happiness.
Jewell leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters, Linda Hobbs Zittrouer and Debbie Hobbs Roberts of Savannah, GA; a sister, Katie Waters of Jeffersonville, GA; five grandchildren, Kimberly Z. Bulluck (Mike), Randy Zittrouer III (Kym), Glen Zittrouer, Hollie Roberts (Rick) and Drew Roberts (Desiree); six great-grandchildren, Lily Bulluck, Abby Bulluck, Shep Zittrouer, Peyton Roberts, Bella Pyburn, and Colton Roberts; and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday December 17 at 11AM in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel of Baker McCullough Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Patterson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.
