Jesse Cecil Roper, 59, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
He was born in Chatham County and lived most of his life in Port Wentworth. He was previously employed with the Coastal Center for Developmental Services and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth and a former member of the Special Angels Handbell Choir.
Survivors include his brothers and sister in law, John Roper of Port Wentworth and Stephen and Linda Roper of Rincon; two nephews, Joshua (Ashley) Roper of Atlanta and Timothy Roper of Rincon.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Hillcrest Abbey East Memorial Park Cemetery.
Remembrances are asked to be made to First Baptist Church of Port Wentworth or the American Cancer Society.
