Jeremy E. Miller, Sr. age 74, of McRae and formerly of Savannah, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Hospice Savannah.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 pm, Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Bonaventure Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Jeremy was born February 7, 1937 in London, England to the late Henrietta Mason and George Miller. He moved to Savannah with his family at the age of 10, where he lived most of his life. He was a graduate of Savannah High School and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia Journalism School. He spent almost his entire career in the insurance business, owning his own agency, Miller Insurance Service, in Savannah for almost 20 years prior to his retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Paige Miller Cooley of Savannah, a son, Jeremy E. Miller, II of St. Petersburg, FL., two grandsons, Christopher Van Cooley and Andrew Jeremy Cooley, both of Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the University of Georgia Terry College Annual Fund, 728 Brooks Hall, Athens GA 30602. Please make checks payable to the ARCH Foundation and note that the gift is in memory of Jeremy E. Miller, Sr.
