Jerald "Jerry" Pratt Morgan, Sr.

Jerald "Jerry" Pratt Morgan, Sr., 61 of Meldrim passed away peacefully on Monday August 17, 2009 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Rosie D. and Frank Morton; his father, Pratt R. Morgan, two brothers, Alan and Frank.
Jerry was born and raised in Savannah and attended local schools. He was a volunteer Firefighter for Meldrim and Effingham Fire and Rescue for over 22 years and was a self employed carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Anna May Rupe Morgan, of Meldrim; one son, Jerald P. Morgan, Jr. (Melessa); two daughters; Kimberly Morgan and Rose Williams (Tracy); one brother, Randy L. Morgan; five sisters; Debbie Hickman (Robert), Gail Steptoe (Dale), Judy Babb (Joey), Pam Roman (Steve), Karen Hill (Robert); 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews,. Jerry is also survived by his extended family of Firefighters.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Fairhaven Funeral Home Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Fairhaven Funeral Home.
