Jerald Hadaway, 75, of Statesboro, and formerly of Savannah, passed away Tuesday, Dec 27, 2016 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, Ga.
A native of Lanette, Alabama, he was the son of the late Tommie Hadaway and Helen Lindsey Hadaway.
Jerald was a veteran, having served in the 165th Air Wing, at Travis Field, Ga, of the Georgia Air National Guard, and he retired in 1991 from Bell South Telephone Company after 30 years of Service, as a Supervisor.
He was a life long member of Trinity United Methodist Church, in Savannah, Ga., where he served as an Usher, the Board of Trustees, Trinity Sunday School Class, Men's Club, Sanctuary Choir, and a former member of the Methodist Youth Fellowship at the church, which recently celebrated their 40th Year Reunion at the Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Tyson Cobb Hadaway, Statesboro, Ga; 2 sons, Michael Lee Hadaway, Stilson, Ga., and Stephen Christopher Hadaway, of Statesboro, Ga; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Hadaway and Christian Hadaway, and a great granddaughter, Grace Victoria Hadaway.
Memorial Service will be held 11 am, January 7, 2017 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Hubert Baker Chapel. Rev. Ben Godson and Rev. Enoch Hendry will be officiating.
