Jennifer Leigh Simmons

Jennifer Leigh Simmons, age 45, of Savannah passed away May 5, 2021

Jennifer was born on March 15, 1976 in Metter, Georgia. She was the daughter of William Thomas Simmons and Norma Jean Falligant Simmons. Jennifer was a devoted mother to Zach and Rayne. She enjoyed spending time with her family and looked forward to Thanksgiving so that everyone could be together. She liked to remind the ones she loved that Green was her favorite color often. Jennifer will be remembered as a warrior. She fought cancer for many years. Jennifer was able to escape by coloring and listening to music.

Jennifer was preceded in death by her father William Thomas Simmons; and grandparents, Claude and Opal Falligant. She is survived by her son, Zachary Peeples; daughter Emma "Rayne" Edmonds; mother, Norma Jean Simmons; two brothers, John Claude Simmons (Donna), James "Bo" Simmons (Ruth); sister, Renee Simmons, two nephews, Justin Simmons, and Gabriel Simmons; and niece, Chloe Simmons

Visitation will be held Friday, May 7, 2021 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406. A service with Pastor Victor Polero and Pastor Jack Moon officiating will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be held at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406.
