Savannah - Jeanette Newsome Miller, of Savannah, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 29, 2017. Jeanette was born in Savannah on November 30, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Thomas Frederick Newsome and Lois Stuckey Newsome. She was a graduate of Savannah High School. Jeanette met the love of her life, John F. "Jack" Miller while he was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield and they were married July 6, 1968. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this year. Jeanette was many things to many people. ­She was a homemaker, a florist, having owned her own flower shop, The Flower Connection, and bus driver for the Savannah-Chatham Public School System. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, "Nana", and sister, always involved in her families lives.She is survived by her husband, Jack Miller, her son, Anthony "Brian" Miller (Dana) of Charleston, SC, daughter, Tammie Graham (Heath) of Guyton, GA; sisters, Judy Newsomof Savannah, and Janet Newsome Into (Billy) of Hardeeville, SC; grandchildren Kaitlinn, Ethan, Liam and Gavin Miller of Charleston, Jonathan, Heather and Natalie Graham of Guyton, nieces, Michelle Newsome Taylor (Dave) of Lyman, SC and many other beloved family members. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 pm on Tuesday, October 3. The funeral will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday October 4, at Baker-McCullough Chapel on Hodgson Memorial Drive, burial will follow.Jeanette supported numerous charitable organizations. In lieu of flowers, please join her in that effort with remembrances to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
