Janie Gloria Lanier

Gloria Burnsed Lanier passed away peacefully Sunday April 23, 2023 at her home. Gloria was born November 23, 1927. She was a graduate of Savannah High School and Draughons Business College.
She married Fred Lester Lanier (deceased) February 28, 1947 and they were married for 63 years. She dedicated her life to serving her God, Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1951. One of her greatest joys was studying the Bible and teaching it to others. She joined Fred as he became a traveling minister of Jehovah's Witnesses. They served in this capacity for 32 years in 14 different states before retiring home to Savannah in 2005 where she continued her Bible teaching work.
She is survived by her 2 daughters: Claire and Phyllis Lanier of Savannah, her niece: Adelle Burnsed-Geffen (Ted) of Savannah and her nephew: Ben Burnsed of Tybee.
She was an amazing person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The memorial service for Gloria will be Sunday April 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 561 Suncrest Blvd, Savannah, GA 31410.
