Janet Victoria Mack, age 72, of Savannah passed away Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Ms. Mack was born on January 15, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Mr. Ahab Mack and Mrs. Victoria Mack. She is a graduate of Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York, attended business school in New York and later worked with Time Life Magazine. While living in Savannah she attended culinary school and Savannah Technical College, graduating with honors. She was an avid reader, checking out mounds of library books and reading every one of them prior to their due dates. She loved to cook, inventing and re-inventing all types of dishes and enjoyed caring for her family.
Ms. Mack is survived by her daughter, Danita Mack Ward; brothers, Stanley H. Mack (Marilyn) and Ahab Mack, Jr. (Rachel); sister, Dawne Robertson (Eddie); grandchildren, De ‘Andre Ward and Darien Ward; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
