Janet McGowan Webber, went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2016.
Janet was born in Candler County and was the daughter of Byrdie Lee McGowan and Emma Lamb McGowan.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Charles Martin Webber, her parents, Lee McGowan and Emma McGowan and a brother, James E. McGowan.
Janet was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved her family.
Janet was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple where she sang in the Sanctuary Choir for many years. She also served as a Choir Mother for the Junior and High School Choirs for many years. She taught the Girl's Auxiliary for many years and preschool Sunday school. Janet was a member of the Lydia Wilder Circle and the Ladies Sunday School Class.
She was a member of White Star Chapter # 367, Order of the Eastern Star, in Thunderbolt, where she held many stations in the Chapter for many years.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Webber (Vicki), and her daughter, Sandy Enfinger (John), both of Savannah; grandchildren, Charlie Webber (Becca), Jonathan Webber, Jeffrey Enfinger (Jennifer) and Jay Enfinger; great grandchildren, Charlie Webber and Guy Webber all of Savannah. She was also survived by two nieces, 1 nephew, and several cousins.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Dorothy Johnson and Jasmine Taroc; Kathy Lewis her nurse from Hospice Savannah and the staff of Hospice Savannah for the care they gave Janet.
Visitation: 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel with Rev. Derward Poole, officiating.
Interment: Hillcrest Abbey - East.
