James Price Marchant, Jr.,76 , of Guyton passed away Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital .
A native of Savannah, Georgia, he was the son of the late James P. Marchant, Sr. and Jewel Rebecca Peth Marchant .
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Ruby Lora Marchant and his father.
James was a graduate of Commercial High School, retired from JT Turner Construction Company and a member of Evangel Temple Full Gospel Church where he sang and played the guitar in the worship band. He enjoyed watching NCIS.
Survivors include his children, Chaquitta Mercier and her husband Van, Cyndy Mackovjak and her husband Mac, James P. Marchant, III and his wife, Karen, Susie Gault and her husband Robby,Tyheka Tricoche and her husband Denis; his mother, Mrs. Jewel Rebecca Peth Marchant; sister, Betty Jacobs; brother, Rev. David Marchant; grandchildren, Sara Reynoso, Nick Mackovjak, Shannon Barton, Lora Bratton, Van Mercier, Jr., April Course Parga, Melinda Smith, J.P. Marchant IV, Candice Price, Ashley Tricoche, Daniel Tricoche, Vanessa Tricoche, David Tricoche, Kelly Mitchell, Michael Mitchell, Holly Jones and Ashley Gaytan; several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
