James W. Harper, Sr. (Jimmy) 80, passed away September 3rd 2017 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Jimmy was a long-time resident of Chatham County and was in sales most of his life. He is most remembered for his love for his family, his love for golf and his sense of humor.
He was a member of First Baptist Church Garden City, served in the Georgia National Guard and was a past member of the Alee Temple Mobile Unit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis A. and Ruby Harper, 1 sister and 3 brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Dale L. Harper, 1 son Jimmy Harper, Jr. ( Lisa ) of Wilmington Island Georgia 1 daughter Tracy Harper Williford (David) of Rincon, Georgia, 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday September 6th, 2017 followed by the funeral service in the Chapel.
Remembrance may be given to the First Baptist Church of Garden City Building Fund 35 Nelson Avenue, Garden City Georgia 31408
