Jimmy Carter age 65 passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday April 10, 2019 after a long battle with Type 1 Diabetes.
Jimmy was born on February 4, 1954 in Savannah, Georgia to Elton and Jean Carter. Jimmy graduated from Savannah High School. He worked as a mechanic with The City of Savannah, and retired as Supervisor of outside Repairs. He was a charter member of Savannah Christian Church (Compassion Christian), where he had served as a Deacon and Elder.
His parents preceded him in death as well as his brother Stephen John Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Carter and two sons, Patrick and Jason Carter as well as his sister, Janice McKim, and his fur babies Sophie and Sammie.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.
