James “Jim” L. Trull (74) passed away on March 11, 2022, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.
Jim, a Savannah native and graduate of Savannah High school, was born on January 28, 1948. He married his beloved Linda Williams in 1966 and they became the proud parents of Michael and Cherissa. After 5 years of dedicated service in US Navy, Jim went on to lead a successful career in the automotive industry. His knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit built the legacy of Trull Motors and TLC Auto Brokers over the past 40 years.
Jim was a strong man with a gentle spirit who really loved his family. He was the type of person who wouldn’t hesitate to help someone in need. He found a lot of joy in serving others by the way he could fix things for them or bring broken things back to life. He enjoyed fishing in his backyard lagoon, took pleasure in sneaking food off his dinner plate for his dog Ozzie, and loved experiencing the world through his travels. Some of his favorites were family cruises and frequent shopping trips to New York City.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Williams Trull, son Michael Trull (Denise), and daughter Cherissa Padgett; grandchildren Adam Trull (Megan), Kyle Padgett (Taylor), Stephen Trull, Justin Padgett, and Ansle Padgett. He will be fondly remembered for his love for his family and will always hold a special place in their hearts.
We take comfort in Psalm 23, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
The family will be receiving friends Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 12:30-2:00pm and a memorial service will be held at 2:00pm in the chapel at Baker McCullough Funeral Home (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406). In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Compassion Christian Church East Campus.
We love you, Jim – devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and friend.
